"Several years ago I began a new project called “Lumens on Location” that explores local flora in different locations and illuminates common parallels. (A lumen print is a solar photogram.) To date, I've made prints at the 20th parallel (Hawaii & Mexico) and the 40th parallel in Illinois. As most of my lumen prints are created here in New Orleans, at the 30th parallel, I’ve expanded the project to showcase details of various New Orleans neighborhoods. This print is an impression of an angel trumpet flower from Central City."
